Meetings

Meetings are held on the First Thursday of each month and start at 7:30 PM and end around 9:00 PM. We meet at:

Garland Women's Activity Building

Our July meeting is traditionally held at Spring Creek Barbeque in Richardson and starts at 7:00 PM - see the Chips and Chatter for updates and details.

Our December meeting is our annual Christmas Dinner and Party starting at 7:00 PM with a pot-luck dinner - see the Chips and Chatter for updates and details.

The Pleasant Oaks Gem & Mineral Club offers a unique way to learn the various aspects of our rock hound hobby. Every other meeting we have hands-on sessions which could include mineral identification, wire wrapping, gem tree fabrication, and basic lapidary skills. If we are not holding a hands-on session then we will have a guest speaker or other presentation of general interest to all members.
